For the first time since 2017, the Virginia Theatre Machine returns to The Edge District to present their regaling rendition of A CHRISTMAS CAROL!

Just in time for the holiday season, bundle up and grab a seat around the fire pits for this 30 minute outdoor show featuring thespians, puppets, ghosts, and a classic tale of holiday redemption.

The Virginia Beer Company will be open all day, with additional holiday events planned…including a Holiday Market on 12/10 from 12-4 pm! Food Trucks will be on site both days as well, with taps flowing and fire pits roaring.

The Virginia Theatre Machine will be parked right in the beer garden with a FREE performance showtime of 7 pm on both evenings.*

*A rain date will be offered on the following day (12/11 or 12/18) at the same time in the case of inclement weather on 12/10 or 12/17.

Join us for this 30 minute outdoor performance extravaganza as two Virginia thespians attempt the grueling and stage defying act of recreating Dickens’s classic tale. The thespians will transform themselves into multiple characters of all ages, gender and spectral variety.

The thespians will put themselves in psychological harm’s way as they expose their inner souls to the full range of emotions needed to transport their audience from laughter to pity to shock to love to despair to hope, and will conclude with a full catharsis of all the emotions ever recorded.**

The thespians will perform this feat of theatrical wizardry on the stage of the Virginia Theatre Machine. Audiences will be able to gather around this outdoor stage to share in this intimate marvel of stagecraft with full production values: Lights, Sound, Sets, Props, Puppets, Costumes, & Special-Effects.

**Free tissues are always provided in any performance by the two thespians.
