8/26 is Women’s Equality Day! In celebration, each year on August 26th we are proud to unveil a brand new 39 Words recipe. This recipe is designed by and brewed in recognition of the women of VBC to recognize their contributions to our small business and the entire craft beer community.

Across our operations, the women of VBC have an indelible impact on what we do & brew on a daily basis. The annual return of 39 Words is one small way to recognize the important roles that Courtenay, Jess, Kelsy, Kristin, Lexi, & Carley play in the success of the Virginia Beer Co.

The name 39 Words represents the number of words in the 19th Amendment, starting the process of guaranteeing women’s right to vote. The 2024 recipe (the sixth iteration of 39 Words) is a 7.0% abv “Virginia Cerveza” brewed with Lime Zest & Sea Salt and Murphy & Rude Malting Co. VA-grown grains!
