List of Rules for Children

General, Visit

We love hosting leashed, people-friendly pets…but as some are not as fond of pets as we are, we do ask that those visiting with animals plan to enjoy themselves in our beer garden. In cases of extreme weather, we will welcome well-behaved fur babies into the taproom.

All animals must be on a leash at all times while on the property. Groups with pets that are loud or disruptive to other guests will be asked to go outside or leave the property.

Free bowls of water are available upon request!

Visit

On days when food trucks are not with us, you are welcome to bring in a manageable sized meal or snacks or order delivery.

We ask that guests please clear their own tables before leaving.

No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted at any time. If you bring outside alcohol onto the premises we will have to ask you to leave.

Visit

Our conditioned taproom and outdoor beer garden are a first come, seat yourself set-up. Ordering is done at the bar and we ask that you please clear your own tables.

We are often able to accommodate large group reservations and group tabs with advance notice. Max of three tables per group (depending on group size) when we’re open to the public. We treat our tables as “home base” and suggest spreading out once your party has arrived!

We ask for at least 5 business days of advance notice for any large party request to best accommodate each group’s needs. Please note that we cannot guarantee group reservation requests made with less than 5 business days of notice. We will not be able accommodate same-day requests for large group reservations.

We ask that groups please reach out as far in advance as possible by phone (757.378.2903) or email (https://virginiabeerco.com/contact/) to request accommodations. Larger groups or private event requests may require additional reservation fees, and we may not be able to accommodate group reservations during our more popular times/events.

For fastest response, please fill out the Large Party Inquiry form on our Contact Page to connect with us about hosting your group/event at VBC!

Beer, Shop

VBC was founded with the intention of being a force for good in the form of a brewery. Active philanthropy is at the heart of our business and we strive to support & build up the community in which we live, brew, and play on a daily basis.

We do our best to respond to all donation requests and consider community partnerships, but request that all inquiries are made through our Purpose page in order to be best reviewed by our team. Please note that requests made with less than a month’s notice of the due date are very difficult for us to support.

General

Our live music season typically runs from late March through early November, with smaller acoustic performances in the taproom during the late fall and winter months.

We host musical acts from all over the country and do our best to respond to every performance request we receive.

If you would like to join the brewery’s lineup of performers, please fill out the request to perform form on our contact page.

We receive many requests so we ask that you please be patient as our management team reviews the live entertainment calendar.

Events, General

We have two oversized viewing windows in our taproom that allow access to the production space during taproom hours! If you have questions about the brewing or packaging processes taking place, just ask one of our beertenders and they’ll be happy to walk you through what’s going on during your visit (when they are not tending to customers at the bar).

If you would like a full tour of the production facilities, these can be arranged with advance notice! If you would like a tour — or are planning to visit with a larger group — or coming for a private event — and would like to include a tour as part of your visit: we ask that you contact us at least 72 hours in advance to verify when we can accommodate your party for a full tour.

Closed-toed shoes are required for anyone planning to tour the brewery. Tour availability is based on the specific work of the Production Team taking place during the time that the tour is requested.

Events, Visit

Please note that our facility is smoke free. This includes tobacco products and vaping. This includes our taproom, restroom, and beer garden areas.

Smoking can adversely impact the senses of those trying to enjoy a beer…so to ensure a customer service experience focused foremost on beers & cheers, we ask smokers to take tobacco products and vape pens to the rear of the building where an askHRgreen.org smoking receptacle is provided for your convenience.

If smoking in the designated area, please refrain from littering when finished!

General, Visit

Our focus is and will always be on the safety of our staff and guests, so we do need to announce some rules and best practices for those joining us for a round or stopping by to pick up beers to-go. Many of these are mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia or recommended by the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild, while others are particular to our specific layout. The full list of rules can be found here.
