Wait…what? A 5.0% abv Czech-Style Half-Dark Lager…aka, a Czech Amber Lager!
So…the name? Polotmavý = “half dark” (ie, a lighter version of a Czech Dark…or “tmavý”…Lager)!
So…why is 12° on the label? The starting gravity in Plato degree (typically displayed on Czech beer labels) for an Amber is usually 12° P!
So…what should I expect? A super-sippable, malt-forward Lager with sweet notes of graham crackers. A perfect fall option for finishing the day with friend by the fire pits.
So…anything else? Na zdraví!
