William & Mary Athletics is pleased to announce an exciting update to the fan experience inside Zable Stadium each fall. The Virginia Beer Company & Old City Barbecue Tailgate Terrace presented by Chesapeake Bank will take the place of the space formally called Tribe Tavern, and be available for fans to enjoy beginning with each season’s William & Mary Football home opener.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance the game day experience for all of our fans,” William & Mary Director of Athletics Brian Mann said. “I would like to thank our partners at Van Wagner for helping to make this a reality. I think our fans will enjoy this upgraded space, and it will continue to help us work towards creating the best home field advantage in the CAA.”
Located behind the south end zone of Zable Stadium, the Tailgate Terrace will be a family-friendly experience with spectacular views of the field and no charge for admission. Once in the Pavilion, fans will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of food and beverage options.
“The Virginia Beer Co. and Old City Barbecue are great at what they do, and they’ll be putting that on display during home football games beginning this fall. There is also no shortage of ties to W&M amongst the ownership of these businesses, which makes them an especially good fit,” said Todd Greineder, General Manager for W&M Sponsorships, who leads Van Wagner’s partnership with W&M.

The Virginia Beer Company & Old City Barbecue Tailgate Terrace presented by Chesapeake Bank will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff and feature TV’s streaming the Tribe Game and other games from around the country, lawn games and more.
