Progress is the name of the game. We’ve got so many work crews in & out they’re hard to keep track of at this point! There have been a lot of layers involved in taking over the property at 7120 GW Memorial Highway. Working with the Beale’s team to finish previously approved setup & sitework for the property. Working with utility crews to prepare the facility for future uses. Working with plumbers, electricians, and carpenters to connect all the dots. Working with the team from Shapespace to turn the space into our own.

For those asking what’s been going on, here are a few quick hits:

🚧Building bars and placing taps…inside & outside

🚧Pre-testing kitchen equipment…one step away from menu prep

🚧Hard piping the brewery equipment…the plumbing before the brewing

🚧Art installations…the beginning phases of seeing some true colour added to the space

Next Up: We’re getting ready to undertake some serious landscaping work to get the entire property looking sharp again. We’re also working on site lighting and signage for the building. And a constant rotation of inspections & certifications so we can check off each milestone on the way to announcing an opening date. Plus refining our food & drink menus (which we can’t wait to share soon)!

The biggest thing we want to highlight is that work is being done daily to take what was the shell of a beautiful building and finally fill it with the necessary equipment and infrastructure to turn this into the brewpub experience we’ve all been waiting for. We’re still aiming for a late summer opening! As soon as we have a few more inspections behind us and final equipment commissioning is in order, we’ll be able to share next steps on the road to doors/taps opening in Yorktown.
