Extra, Extra! Read All About It! Malt Liquor, that is.

There are few things we enjoy more than cracking open a freshly filled can of beer…but cracking open a copy of The New York Times hot off the press and seeing a VBC brew featured in print (and online) ranks up there too!

Our Brewmaster enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with Joshua M. Bernstein to discuss VBC’s take on a “Super Lager”…aka, Malt Liquor. Not only was this recipe a first in an ever-changing lineup of small batch offerings, but this particular batch was extra meaningful because it represented the 2022 edition of 39 Words. The annual 39 Words release is designed each year by the Women of VBC for Women’s Equality Day; which this year in turn encouraged support of the Beer is for Everyone Emergency Health Fund.

Joining other brewers in researching the past & present of this beer style – releasing 39 Words Super Lager for a meaningful occasion/purpose – being able to celebrate our team in the process…and then seeing it featured in the NY Times? Well we’d say that calls for a beer!
