We were devastated to learn that Aimee Troup – a long-time friend of the brewery and a member of our local service industry – was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Aimee is a mother, wife, daughter, neighbor, and all around amazing person.

Together with Aimee’s family, coworkers at Berret’s Seafood Restaurant and Taphouse Grill, and fellow friends across the Williamsburg service community, we are gathering on Sunday, 11/24 to help Aimee & the Troup family. 𝗢𝗻 𝟭𝟭/𝟮𝟰, 𝗩𝗕𝗖 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 $𝟮𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹.

In addition, our team and fellow friends of the Troup fam have been collecting donations from area businesses (including many of Aimee’s favourite food & beverage establishments)…so we’ll be raffling off gift cards and prizes galore to raise additional funds on 11/24. Plus additional donations in-kind from:

— SpeedQuizzing VA! Pop-up Trivia from 5-7 pm.

— wolph_band! Pop-up concert from 2-4 pm.

And we’ll have The Wandering Sausage‘s food truck with us throughout the day as well.

Community is at the center of this brewery’s foundation. When a member of our community is in need, we hope to be there to do what we can to lift up that person, family, or organization.

While it’s a challenging time, Aimee’s family informs us that she’s working closely with her doctors on the next steps (and staying positive as ever). So we hope you’ll join us all on Sunday, 11/24 as we do our part to show our love for Aimee & the Troup family.
